Today begins a fresh new blog with a new purpose.

I intend to explore as many of the art forms in which my ancestors have participated. In this exploration, I hope to learn new skills, to gain appreciation for time(s) past, and to explore art forms in the present. I hope to preserve skills, knowledge, craft, and memory in the process.

My foray into the world of these preservings will begin with just that–preserves. To that end, I purchased a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables today. I will spend some time this week making dill pickles, pickled beets, and fresh green bean soup. Looking forward to sharing my preservings with you all!
